Q. Where did you get the idea for, Foolish Desire?<\/i><\/b><\/span>

<\/span>Foolish Desire is the fourth book in the Naughty Holiday List series. I\u2019ve had a rough idea of all the characters stories since the series began with Naughty List. Even from our first meeting, Amy is the shy friend, and I loved the idea that she would be into something as crazy as exhibitionism. But I had no idea what I was getting myself into with that idea.<\/span>

<\/span>Q. Tell us a bit about the hero and heroine in, Foolish Desire.<\/b><\/i><\/span>

<\/span>Amy Spear, the heroine of Foolish Desire, is very shy. She\u2019s artistic and fun, but prefers fading into the background. That\u2019s why she works in the backstage of the theater. That is until Will comes into the picture and he forces her out of the shadows.<\/span>

<\/span>Will Long is your classic class clown. He makes cheesy jokes, loves being the center of attention. He\u2019s the local weather man and has never had a problem with anyone laughing at him, until he meets Amy. He thinks she needs someone serious, not a goofball like him. But he\u2019s completely wrong. A little laughing and an April Fool\u2019s joke gone too far is exactly what she needs.<\/span>

<\/span>Q. What are you working on right now and what can we expect from you next?<\/i><\/b><\/span>
<\/span>
<\/a>Right now I\u2019m trudging through my edits for my February release, Wandering Off the Path. It\u2019s the first story in my new bound by fairytales series, which are smoking hot retellings of your favorite fairytales, with a little bondage thrown in.<\/span>

<\/span>Q. Name three of your favorite things.<\/i><\/b><\/span>

<\/span>Really bad for you food (cheese fries are one of my favorites, but really anything you do with cheese gets me excited), really great books and my fur babies. Notice I say fur babies, they aren\u2019t just cats, they\u2019re people to me.<\/span>

<\/span>Q. What has been the biggest obstacle you have had to overcome in your writing?<\/i><\/b><\/span>

<\/span>I don\u2019t think I\u2019ve suffered any different obstacles than anyone else. Mostly just self-confidence issues and time management. But if you don\u2019t have those, you\u2019re not a writer.\u00a0<\/span>

<\/span>Q. Did you always want to become a writer?<\/span><\/i><\/b>\u00a0<\/span>

<\/span>Yup, as long as I can remember. Some of my earliest memories are sitting at my grandmother\u2019s big dining room table, typing my book on her old typewriter. She was my first supporter and first reader.<\/span>

<\/span>Q. If you could have dinner with anyone, dead or alive, who would it be and why?<\/i><\/b><\/span>

<\/span>My grandmother. She\u2019s been gone for almost twenty years now and it would be great to meet up with her again and talk to her about all the grown up things I never got to speak to her about.<\/span>

Q. Where do you get the inspirations for your books?\u00a0<\/i><\/b><\/span>

<\/span>I get inspiration from all over the place. The idea of the naughty holiday lists came from an episode of Oprah, when she was talking about the secret. I\u2019ve also received inspiration from other books, television shows and movies. The idea for Wandering Off the Path came from a group writing prompt. I\u2019ve been very lucky, my muse is very giving, on everything but time.<\/span>

<\/span>Q. Do you prefer stand-alone books or series (As a reader or a writer) ?\u00a0<\/i><\/b><\/span>

<\/span>I\u2019m a big series fan, as a reader and a writer. I enjoy seeing the characters that I love again and again, whether they\u2019re important players or merely drifting through the new book.\u00a0<\/span>

Q. If you could change places with one character from your book, who would it be and why?<\/span><\/i><\/b>\u00a0<\/span>

<\/span>Mallory. She\u2019s my only character so far to end up with two boyfriends, though she won\u2019t be the last. wink<\/strong> They\u2019re rock stars, and I think it would be awesome to spend my days traveling the world while they tour, and spending my nights with Gabe and Lincoln.<\/span>

<\/span>Q. Do you listen to music while you are writing, and if so what music is it?<\/span><\/i><\/b>\u00a0<\/span>

<\/span>I have to listen to something when I\u2019m writing. I often listen to music (if you go to my website most of my books have soundtracks of the songs that inspired the work). I also been known to have the TV on and even to listen to books on tape while I write. I always need noise, to drown out the real world.<\/span>

<\/span>Q. Are there any words of encouragement for unpublished writers?<\/b><\/i><\/span>

<\/span>Never stop trying. Wandering Off the Path, my February release, was rewritten hundreds of times. I submitted it over and over, and I only received rejections. But I just couldn\u2019t let the story die. I love the characters too much. I rewrote it again, resubmit it again, and it was finally picked up by an amazing publisher. I\u2019ve never been so proud of another work.<\/span>

<\/span>Just because one person says no, doesn\u2019t mean your work isn\u2019t good. It just means it\u2019s not good for them. Keep trying, keep pushing, keep writing, and eventually you\u2019ll find our place.\u00a0<\/span>

<\/span>He spun around, glancing over his shoulder to the brunette waitress. He turned back to her with an evil smile that had her stomach twisting. \u201cGood, I was getting hungry.\u201d His fingers twirled inside her, his thumb strumming her clit.<\/span>
