I\u2019ve had a rough idea of all the characters stories since the series began with Naughty List. Even from our first meeting, Amy is the shy friend, and I loved the idea that she would be into something as crazy as exhibitionism. But I had no idea what I was getting myself into with that idea.<\/span><br><span style=\"font-family: Helvetica Neue, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;\"><br><\/span><span style=\"color: purple; font-family: Helvetica Neue, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;\"><i><b>Q. Tell us a bit about the hero and heroine in, Foolish Desire.<\/b><\/i><\/span><br><span style=\"font-family: Helvetica Neue, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;\"><br><\/span><span style=\"font-family: Helvetica Neue, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;\">Amy Spear, the heroine of Foolish Desire, is very shy. She\u2019s artistic and fun, but prefers fading into the background. That\u2019s why she works in the backstage of the theater. That is until Will comes into the picture and he forces her out of the shadows.<\/span><br><span style=\"font-family: Helvetica Neue, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;\"><br><\/span><span style=\"font-family: Helvetica Neue, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;\">Will Long is your classic class clown. He makes cheesy jokes, loves being the center of attention. He\u2019s the local weather man and has never had a problem with anyone laughing at him, until he meets Amy. He thinks she needs someone serious, not a goofball like him. But he\u2019s completely wrong. Mostly just self-confidence issues and time management. Some of my earliest memories are sitting at my grandmother\u2019s big dining room table, typing my book on her old typewriter. The idea of the naughty holiday lists came from an episode of Oprah, when she was talking about the secret. I\u2019ve also received inspiration from other books, television shows and movies. The idea for Wandering Off the Path came from a group writing prompt. I also been known to have the TV on and even to listen to books on tape while I write. Wandering Off the Path, my February release, was rewritten hundreds of times. I submitted it over and over, and I only received rejections. But I just couldn\u2019t let the story die. I love the characters too much. I rewrote it again, resubmit it again, and it was finally picked up by an amazing publisher. I\u2019ve never been so proud of another work.<\/span><br><span style=\"font-family: Helvetica Neue, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;\"><br><\/span><span style=\"font-family: Helvetica Neue, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;\">Just because one person says no, doesn\u2019t mean your work isn\u2019t good. It just means it\u2019s not good for them.
