Day 8: The Journey to Beth’s place
He smiled and glanced across at her, the headlights from the oncoming traffic seeking out the laughter lines gracing the side of his face. “You really wanna know, huh?”
Beth nodded. “Of course. How else am I gonna find out if I can trust you.”
Ethan shook his head, and laughed. “Okay, honey. If it helps you decide whether I’m an evil sadistic bastard, or just a nice guy who happens to be a natural dominant, then I’ll give you the bullet points.”
“Good.” Beth turned on her side to face him, snuggling into the red leather upholstery of the Mustang, making herself more comfortable as he guided the car across the Charles River at Cambridge Street. Whoever Ethan Strong really was, he made her feel more alive than she’d felt in years.
