Guest Blogger: Samantha Kay ~ Erotic Romance Author

January 23, 2013

Please make a warm welcome to my guest blogger, Samantha Kay.

Hello and thank you Jan for this opportunity!
I am a writer of M/M romance/contemporary/erotica -but I am very new to it! I’ve been writing for about a year, and self-published one book so far, though I have many other works in progress. Hopefully this year will entail me developing as a writer, and publishing a few more books!

Q. Where did you get the idea for With Regret?

Honestly? It literally just came out of nowhere! I just suddenly had this thought of writing about a couple going through a really emotional time, and went from there.

Q. Tell us a bit about the hero and heroine in With Regret?

Well, there’s Jacob, who’s sweet and loving, but sometimes annoyingly insecure and naïve. And then there’s Phil, who is…well…a bit of a sod really to say the least. He worships the ground Jacob walks on, but ends up hurting him badly by straying.
There is more as to why Phil’s the way he is though, which is uncovered as the story progresses.

Q. What are you working on right now, and what can we expect from you next?

I’m working on Part Two of With Regret, which should be available by April 2013, and I’m working on four other stories; ‘Damaged Goods’ which is undergoing a major rewrite, ‘Waiter’ which is about a young man who becomes infatuated with a stranger who isn’t as he seems, and then there’s ‘Torn’, which has a long way to go yet. My fourth is still without a title, but it is about a man who initially just tries to seduce his supposedly straight colleague, but then ends up getting caught up in something complicated.

I’m also working on a four part story, which will be getting posted on Ellie Mack’s Storytime Tryst http://storytimetrysts.blogspot.co.uk/ from 23rd January.
I can’t be more thankful for the opportunity to have something on her site, she is wonderful.

Q. How do we find out about you and your books?

I have a Facebook page http://www.facebook.com/samanthakays and a blog website http://www.samanthakayblog.blogspot.co.uk/ where I post updates on what’s happening and links to the stories that are posted and/or published!

Q. How may readers contact you?

Readers usually email me or leave comments on my blog or facebook page, both of which are great! My emails are s.watkins ( at ) live.co.uk , and skstorys ( at ) gmail.com
I’m also on twitter, though I don’t use it very often haha but I’m ‘skstorys’ on there.
Its great to hear from readers, I massively appreciate their feedback and the time they’ve given to read my work and get in touch.

Q. If you could change places with one character from your book, who would it be and why?

Ah, well it would have to be a character out of my WIP ‘Waiter’, Jamie.
He’s recently met an amazing guy, and is totally and utterly infatuated with him – A feeling I sometimes miss! After being in my current relationship for over 3 years, I miss the slight drama of feeling so infatuated, and the excitement of falling in love with someone for the first time.

Q. Name three of your favorite things.

Well, since you’ve said things and not people, then I guess my family wouldn’t count as an answer haha, so it would have to be my laptop! Its where my writing happens, and where I connect with some great people, as I have a lot of online friends (being a mum has devoured any other means of a social life!)

Another two of my favourite things…hmm, probably my car -as it gives me my independence! And of course my third favourite thing would have to be chocolate -I’d be insane (but thin) without it!

Q. Do you write an outline before every book you write?

I’ve not written an outline for any of my stories so far, I’m unsure if that’s a good thing or not! Haha, I prefer to just start writing with an idea in mind, and see how the story develops as I go along. Chances are, if I did write an outline, I would deviate from it anyway.

Q. Who is your favorite author and what is it that really strikes you about their work?

It has to be Noel Blue. He is an incredible writer, who is somehow unpublished, though that might be by choice. He’s amazing at conveying strong emotions in a scene, and keeping the reader gripped continuously! My favourite work by him is ‘Groupie’ but he has other great work. He inspired me to start writing, I read his work and decided to give it a go. My writing is nowhere near the quality of his, but I still enjoy doing it!

Q. Are there any words of encouragement for unpublished writers?

For unpublished erotica authors I’d recommend posting your work on Nifty www.nifty.org It’s an incredible website run by just one guy! It’ll get you readers, and it’s a way of finding out what others think to your work before you decide whether to publish it.

Excerpt from With Regret, Part One.

Don’t do this Phil, don’t do it.

Not again…

I kept trying to convince myself to stop, to pull away from the man taking a hold of my hand, and leave.

But I just couldn’t…

Nearly every day I would try and talk myself out of doing this kind of thing, but so far it hadn’t worked, and I doubted it would suddenly work tonight.

So despite a deep ache in my chest telling me not to continue, I went with the guy I had only just met to the toilets.

No Phil, no…

We quickly dived into a cubicle, locking it behind us, and straightaway I began nibbling passionately at his neck while letting my hands roam over his firm, slender body.

I eagerly lifted his top off and my lips made their way to his nipples. He tasted amazing, slightly salty and musky. I knew he was enjoying my affection because of the soft moans he was breathing into my ear. The sound of that alone would have been enough to keep my cock alive.

One of my hands rubbed his hard cock through his jeans while the other unfastened his belt. I couldn’t wait to strip this guy naked and taste his shaft.
He started running his fingers through my short wavy hair as he tilted his head back and groaned deeply.

Unfortunately, being in a toilet cubicle, we lacked both comfort and space. Nonetheless it was our only option, because I had a man at home.

I’d literally known this guy for a few minutes before asking him for this. He was gorgeous and up for it, and that’s all I needed right now.

I went down to my knees and pulled the guys jeans down to his ankles. I was greeted with a seven inch cut cock. This man looked so hot naked: tanned, slim and toned with a pretty prick.

I took the head of it into my mouth and sucked gently. My tongue gently rubbed along the slit while a hand massaged his balls. The taste of salt and flesh was wonderful in my mouth; it was a flavour I couldn’t get enough of.

“Fuck yeah.” The guy groaned as I fed the full length of his cock into my mouth.
I was bloody brilliant at deep throating.

I sucked and rubbed my tongue around his shaft for a while before encouraging him to face fuck me, by grabbing and moving his hips. His moans got louder, especially as I started massaging his balls again. They began to tighten in my palm telling me he was close to coming.

It was too soon to let him do that though, so I pulled off him and stood up.

“Let me suck your dick.” He said breathlessly.

I shook my head, as I had other ideas.

WOW! That is HOT ((fans face)). What happens next? I guess I’ll have to buy the book to find out. Thanks for being my guest today, Samantha, and congratulations on getting yourself published!
